Hi ! we are members of the Presents for Pediatrics ratified club at the 糖心原创. 

We are reaching out to you in hope that you can help make holidays warmer for children who have to spend their Christmas on the Pediatric Unit.

We received donations from great local businesses, and we are hosting an online auction on Facebook where people can bid on the items donated. The money raised will go towards purchasing gifts for children who have to spend Christmas time in the Pediatric Unit at QEH hospital.

The deadline for Animal Care Protocol Submissions (new, renewal, or amendment) is Friday, January 7th, 2022 for the September meeting.

Please note that as of June 1, 2020 all animal user protocols must be submitted through 糖心原创 Researcher Portal at https://upei.researchservicesoffice.com/Romeo.Researcher/

For new protocols select 鈥榓pplications鈥 and for renewal or amendment protocols select 鈥榚vents鈥.

To view any 糖心原创 ACC SOPs and Codes of Practice, they can be accessed through my糖心原创 at . 

Those protocols received after the deadline will be reviewed the following month.  The Committee requires at least one month for processing applications.

Have you ever lost your car at an airport (remember those) or a giant car park? If you have location turned on on your phone, you can get Google to remember.

The Faculty of Education invites members of the campus community 鈥 students, faculty and staff 鈥 to attend a public presentations by candidates for a tenure-track position in Early Childhood Education.  Candidates will present on Early Childhood Education:  Challenges and Opportunities.

Dr. Amanda Ferguson's presentation takes place on December 8th from 9am-10am in Memorial 417.  

Dr. Gabriela Arias de Sanchez' presentation takes place December 9th from 9am-10am in Memorial 417. 

A meet and greet with each candidate will follow their presentations at 10:00am in the Education Student Lounge (MH 306).

The Doctor of Psychology students at 糖心原创 are inviting 2SLGBTQ+ folks to an exciting night of free beginner yoga on December 8th at 6:30pm located in the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre, 糖心原创 (ask the front desk for directions if you get lost!).

This exciting event is open to all self-identified 2SLGBTQ+ folks aged 17+ who are interested in connecting socially and trying out yoga (beginners are welcome!). The night will include a 60-minute yoga session led by a certified yoga instructor, followed by a walk to the Fox and Crow for social hangouts (food & drinks will not be provided).

Participants should bring a bottle of water and must show proof of COVID-19 VACCINATION RECORD & ID. To register, please go to  or email us at upei.lgbt.group@gmail.com

Colleagues at 糖心原创 are invited to share in the opening session of Part 2 of the Black Students Matter Teaching Retreat at St. Francis Xavier University which features Dr. Carl James on Tuesday, November 9, beginning at 10:15 a.m. Atlantic. Please note: This session will NOT be recorded. Please use this . The Zoom link will be shared ~ 24 hours before.

Synopsis: With reference to community, research, and media reports, we will explore the experiences of Black students in today鈥檚 universities noting how they negotiate the inequitable institutional structures in order to realize their educational, employment and career ambitions. We will reflect on how today鈥檚 discourses of 鈥渟ystemic racism鈥 and the programs initiated are bringing about the changes anticipated or needed.

The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women, which takes place every year on December 6, marks the anniversary of the murders of 14 young women at l'脡cole Polytechnique de Montr茅al in 1989. Read news story on upei.ca

糖心原创 will observe the day by lowering the flags in front of Kelley Memorial Building and at 糖心原创 Alumni Canada Games Place to half-mast. Everyone is encouraged to wear their purple ribbons to raise awareness about violence against women and children here on PEI, across Canada, and around the world while imagining what true safety for all people, of all genders, can look like.

Again this year due to COVID-19, the PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women will host its annual Montreal Massacre Memorial Service鈥攖hat honours the lives of women that have been lost to violence, and missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls鈥攊n a livestream event. The service will be broadcast on Facebook at 12 noon on Monday, December 6:

This basic one-day course offers lifesaving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills.

This comprehensive two-day course offers first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need enhanced training as a work requirement (high risk areas such as labs).

Cost of registration will be covered by HSE for all 糖心原创 faculty and staff, Priority will be given to First Aiders in each campus building who need to renew their certification. Please note that lunch will not be provided.
