Navigating an increasingly precarious work world can be difficult. Job Ready Bootcamp is a two-day workshop focused on helping 糖心原创 students prepare for today's labour market.
Primarily face-to-face, with supplementary online modules, Job Ready Bootcamp will help you focus your goals and competencies, polish your resume and networking skills, and practice your responses to difficult questions. This FREE mini-badge program will be part of a broader non-credit badging system coming to 糖心原创 in 2018-19!
April's Bootcamp is a way to build competencies and confidence that you can carry into potential work situations, while earning a mini-badge you can display on Linked In & other social platforms. Registration is limited and will be first-come, first-served - sign up .

One of the biggest challenges in a workplace is to understand the dynamics of how people work together. In today鈥檚 workplace the ability to identify team dynamics and understand positive and negative outcomes is a key component to building successful teams.
This two-day course will explore team dynamics using guided role play, exercises and practice sessions, you will discover:
鈥� five stages of team development;
鈥� how to identify communication problems;
鈥� how to maximize performance;
鈥� strategies for managing conflict;
鈥� decision-making strategies;
鈥� how to create a shared vision for success

The 糖心原创 Multicultural Song Circle meets every Tuesday in Main Building Lounge from 4:30 - 5:30. All students, staff, faculty and community are welcome. Come when you can. Abstract
Dr. Martha Mellish, of AVC鈥檚 Equine Ambulatory Service, will give a free public workshop, entitled 鈥淎 pain in the gut: Managing equine digestive issues,鈥� on Wednesday, March 21, at 7:00 pm, in Lecture Theatre A, Atlantic Veterinary College, 糖心原创.
Horses have complex gastro-intestinal systems and can have equally complex digestive problems. The more knowledge horse owners have about these issues, the better they can understand and appropriately manage digestive conditions affecting their animals. Using a practical model, Dr. Mellish will explain the equine gastro-intestinal tract and talk about common medical conditions that can affect it.

The theme of this evening is 鈥淚nforming the Next Generation of Healthcare Workers鈥� and the conference will showcase different health professions, shed light on current healthcare issues, and educate students and community members interested in a career in healthcare about the realities of working in the healthcare system.
There will be four exciting presentations by influential healthcare workers that you won鈥檛 want to miss if you are considering working in the healthcare system.

Ethics protocols that involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥� must be reviewed by the full 糖心原创 Research Ethics Board. The next deadline for submitting these protocols is Monday April 6 2018. They will be reviewed at the April meeting. Protocols involving 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥� that are received after April 6 will be reviewed at the May 2018 meeting.
Other ethics protocol submissions, including new applications that do not involve 鈥榤ore than minimal risk鈥�, renewals, and amendments may be submitted at any time. They will be sent for delegated review as soon as all necessary forms are received.

Take your kids and spend St Patrick's Day at the Campus Life Lounge (located in Student Affairs above the bookstore) for science experiments with the Let's Talk Science volunteer group, St Paddy's Day crafts and some diving in our super-fun BALL PIT!
The science activities planned for the day are "Elephant Toothpaste," which is a fun bubble-filled activity and "Ozobots"; easily programmable robots for kids.
Lets Talk Science is a volunteer-based program offering a wide variety of meaningful science, technology, engineering, and mathematics learning experiences to kids.

Go CODE Girl Day is a hands-on opportunity for girls in Grades 7 to 10 to learn about the exciting world of computer programming and software development. We will introduce and inspire girls with the skills needed to pursue interests in the fastest growing industries of technology, computing and engineering. 糖心原创 SSDE is excited to be a participant in Go CODE Girl Day, which is an initiative that takes place at 20+ universities with Engineering programs across Canada!
