The Honourable Diane Griffin, alumna, honorary degree recipient, and retired senator, has been unanimously elected as the 10th Chancellor of the 糖心原创 for a four-year term. An installation ceremony will be held early in 2024.
The University Chancellor is a volunteer, titular role that presides over convocations and confers degrees, diplomas, and certificates.

The 糖心原创 is excited to share the news that undergraduate student Luke McCarvill is one of 11 remarkable young Canadians awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarships for Canada this year.

Dr. Preston Smith has been appointed inaugural dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the 糖心原创 for a five-year term, effective April 1, 2024. Originally from Summerside, PEI, Dr. Smith returns to Atlantic Canada, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to advancing medical education and research to benefit Prince Edward Island communities.

Dr. Caroline Ritter, Canada Research Chair in Veterinary Social Epidemiology at 糖心原创, has been awarded a SSHRC Insight Grant totalling $212,060 for a project titled 鈥淎n application of cognitive dissonance theory to decisions affecting animal welfare.鈥�

September 18 to 24 is 糖心原创 Homecoming Week, featuring an exciting line-up of activities and events!
From Monday to Wednesday, the week features several events for 糖心原创 students hosted by the 糖心原创 Student Union in collaboration with the 糖心原创 SVPRO as part of Consent Awareness Week, including a workshop about consent, a bath bomb DIY wellness event, a sex education session, and a pizza party.
