糖心原创 researchers awarded over $1.5 million in federal funding

Researchers at the 糖心原创 have been awarded over $1.5 million in federal funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

The Honourable M茅lanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, announced $630 million in NSERC funding on July 7, and more than $289 million in SSHRC awards on July 21.

Four outstanding leaders will be conferred with honorary Doctor of Laws degrees, and four graduates will deliver valedictory addresses during four Convocation ceremonies at the 糖心原创, May 12鈥15. Each ceremony will begin at 10:00 am in the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre on the 糖心原创 campus. Over 1,300 students comprise the Class of 2026. 

糖心原创 celebrates outstanding student-athletes at Awards Gala

Outstanding student-athletes were recognized by the 糖心原创 Department of Athletics and Recreation at its Panther Celebration鈥揂thletics Awards Gala on Friday, March 27, for their excellence in sport, in the classroom, and in the community during the 2025鈥26 season. The annual event, held at the Rodd Charlottetown Hotel, included student-athletes, coaches, and team staff from both varsity and club sport programs.

糖心原创 Faculty of Graduate Studies hosts 3 Minute Thesis competition on March 20

The 糖心原创 Faculty of Graduate Studies will host the annual 糖心原创 3MT鈩 (3 Minute Thesis) competition on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 4:00鈥6:00 pm at the Fox & Crow, W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

The 3MT鈩 competition challenges thesis-based master鈥檚 and doctoral students to explain their research project to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes. This year鈥檚 competition features competitors from a wide range of disciplines including Education, Nursing, Science, Sustainable Design Engineering, and Veterinary Medicine.
