The first David Currie Jr. Panther Co-Educational Hockey Awards for Perseverance and Resolve were recently presented to Faith Steeves (ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Women’s Hockey) and Matt Brassard (ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Men’s Hockey).

The next ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Writer-in-Residence will be Jay Ruzesky.

ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ is proud to announce 87 of its student athletes in the 2019–2020 season have been named U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians. 

The entire ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ community was saddened to learn of the passing of ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ Bachelor of Education student on January 6, 2021.

The next presentation in the Institute of Island Studies’ Island Lecture Series will feature Irish researcher Rory McCabe, Centre for Irish Studies, National University of Ireland (NUI) Galway, via Zoom on January 19, at 1 pm AST. McCabe will discuss the role and importance of music-making in island community life and vitality. 

The ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ partnered with Health PEI to host a pop-up COVID-19 testing clinic on Thursday, December 10, 2020, after PEI Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Heather Morrison urged individuals 20–29 years of age living in the greater Charlottetown area to get tested.

ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ lowered the flags to half mast on January 4, 2021 in memory of Thomas Symons (ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´ LLD '83) and Dr. Larry Clark, retired adjunct professor of economics, who both passed away last week.

The Vice-President Academic and Research and the Vice-President Administration and Finance issued a message on January 2, 2021, to employees that the University would lift restrictions in place before the holiday break and return to Stage Three of ÌÇÐÄÔ­´´'s Operational Ease-Back Plan.
