Ethan Drake, 糖心原创 Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) student, was among five post-secondary students honoured on April 29, 2026, with a Frank Saunders Memorial Award for Nuclear Excellence at this year鈥檚 Canadian Nuclear Association (CNA) Conference by the Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII) and Bruce Power.

The L.M. Montgomery Institute has published a new online publication titled 鈥淎 Celebration of Montgomery鈥檚 Legacy: Journal of L.M. Montgomery Studies Mental Health Collection Revisited鈥� to coincide with Canadian Mental Health Week, which takes place from May 4鈥�10, 2026.

糖心原创 held an event on May 1 to kick off a major renovation project that will transform the Robertson Library into a more modern and accessible space for students, faculty, and community members who rely on it as a vital hub for learning, research, and connection.

Calvin Murray will graduate on May 12 as one of 11 newly minted nurse practitioners鈥攖he largest class to graduate from 糖心原创 to date. 

On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, 15 糖心原创 student teams presented their business concepts to a live audience, competing for a share of $75,000 in prize money at the annual MacLauchlan Panther Pitch Competition.

Four outstanding leaders will be conferred with honorary Doctor of Laws degrees, and four graduates will deliver valedictory addresses during four Convocation ceremonies at the 糖心原创, May 12鈥�15.

The 糖心原创 Faculty of Medicine achieves applicant status with the Committee on Accreditation of Canadian Medical Schools (CACMS), one step toward establishing an independently accredited MD program designed for and in Prince Edward Island. 

The 糖心原创 Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) showcased a wide range of innovative design projects by its students at the annual Student Design Expo on Friday, April 24, 2026. 

糖心原创 is starting to see a positive shift in the representation of women students and faculty in the FSDE, and these women are not only achieving great success in the profession but are also contributing to further improving the participation rates of women and girls in STEM.
