Devon Lawlor and Kaleb Pearson named 糖心原创 Panther Athletes of the Week
Every week, 糖心原创 Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The 糖心原创 Panther Athletes of the Week for November 25鈥揇ecember 1, 2024, are Devon Lawlor (women鈥檚 basketball) and Kaleb Pearson (men鈥檚 hockey).
Lawlor, a fourth-year business student from Mill Cove, PEI, made several key plays in the 73-71 win over the University of New Brunswick Reds on November 29. She finished with 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting (2-of-3 from three) with three assists.
December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3 seeks to increase awareness of the experience of persons with disabilities in all areas of society, including at 糖心原创. Individuals within the 糖心原创 campus community are affected by various disabilities, which can be visible or invisible. They are experienced differently by each person and can intersect with other forms of identity. 糖心原创 is committed to making a difference to all who are historically underrepresented and underserved, and aims to recognize, include, and support them.

An interprofessional simulation involving 糖心原创 nursing students and Holland College paramedicine students took place on November 18, 2024, at the 糖心原创 Faculty of Nursing in the Health Sciences Building.
