The 糖心原创 campus community is invited to participate in the 鈥淎ccess for All 糖心原创鈥� event on January 13, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, in McMillan Hall, W.A. Murphy Student Centre, to raise awareness of and advocate for improved accessibility on campus for students.

Two 糖心原创 Men鈥檚 Hockey student-athletes and head coach Forbes MacPherson are headed to the international stage. Panthers captain Kurtis Henry and assistant captain Kaleb Pearson have been selected to play with Team Canada鈥檚 hockey team at the 2025 International University Sports Federation (FISU) World Games in Italy this month. MacPherson will serve as an assistant coach鈥攈is second time coaching in the FISU World Games. 

President Rodgers will kick off a series of President's Town Halls on January 15, 2025. The first topic is an update on the development of 糖心原创's strategic plan for 2025鈥�2030. All 糖心原创 community members are invited to attend.

The 糖心原创 Panthers are looking forward to a week of competition at home and away to start the new year. 

Dr. Wendy Rodgers updated the campus community on the search for a new Vice-President, People and Culture. The Advisory Selection Committee will host finalist candidate A on January 9 and finalist candidate B on January 16 for on-campus visits.

Festive greetings and good wishes filled the air as guests were welcomed to the New Year鈥檚 Day Levee held by the 糖心原创 and the 糖心原创 Alumni Association on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in the Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering building. 

The 糖心原创 Board of Governors approved several changes to the international student tuition deposits, as recommended by the Finance and Audit Committee, for students who apply to 糖心原创 after December 3, 2024.

Dr. Xander Wang, a professor in 糖心原创鈥檚 Applied Climate Change and Adaptation program and director of the 糖心原创 Climate Smart Lab, has been awarded the prestigious American Geophysical Union鈥檚 (AGU) for his outstanding contributions to the advancement of geospatial data visualization technology to increase public awareness of climate change.

Students in Dr. Stacey MacKinnon鈥檚 fourth-year Psychology of Good and Evil class wrapped up their fall semester by hosting a 糖心原创 Pathways to Peace Day in late November in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.
